Ronald Jesse Arnold, 77, of Janesville, WI passed away on December 1, 2013 at his home following a short battle with cancer. He was born in Rock County on August 8, 1936, the son of Chester and Jessie (Babcock) Arnold. He married Jean McFarlan McLay on July 11, 1959. He served in the Red Arrow Division of the National Guard. Ron was a building contractor for forty three years and retired from Arnold Builders in 1998. He was a member and past president of the Wisconsin Builders Association. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church. Ron loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed bird watching and wood working. He also enjoyed working with stain glass and intarsia (wood mosaic art).
Ron Arnold is survived by his wife, Jean, two children, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Arnold of Green Bay, WI, Tamara (John) Biordi of Pleasant Prairie, WI, two granddaughters, Hannah McLay Arnold and Haley Clausen, a great-granddaughter, Reese Alexandra Clausen, his sister, Linda Rinehart of Huntsville, Alabama, two sisters-in-law, Darlene Arnold and Phyllis Arnold as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Richard and Robert Arnold.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10th at Faith Lutheran Church, 2116 Mineral Point Avenue, Janesville. Pastor David Andert and Pastor Anne Andert will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crex Meadows Wild Life Area, Grantsburg, WI or Faith Lutheran Church.
